The highest quality gypsum for agriculture is natural, a dihydrate, has beneficial trace minerals,
and purity levels over 80%.
Because Dihydrate is already hydrated with water molecules, as opposed to anhydrite, it dissolves faster in water.
If dissolved in the irrigation water, dissolution speed has little effect; however, when applied in dry granular form, the dissolving rates differ.
Dihydrate gypsum releases calcium and sulfur into the soil faster to restore balance and bring up the base levels of nutrients in soil at a much quicker rate than anhydrite.
Anhydrite can be used in agriculture, but its benefits will be significantly slower to see.
Anhydrite is better suited for wallboard and cement applications.
For Southern California, dihydrate gypsum mined in Southern Utah-Nevada-California typically
costs less for combined materials and shipping.
OUR PRODUCT HAS HIGHEST LEVELS OF PURITY, A DIHYDRATE AND HAS BENEFICIAL TRACE MINERALS.
